After winning her first three races, Aug Lutes (3f o/o Not My Tap) stepped up to stakes company and held her own with a second-place finish in the Listed Duchess Stakes.

Racing over seven furlongs on Woodbine’s synthetic track Aug Lutes was a step slow out of the gate and raced in last early on before making her way into midpack. She started rolling around the turn and was chasing down the leader throughout the stretch. She had to settle for a clear second place finish in the end for her first bit of blacktype.

Hinkle bred and sold Aug Lutes now has a record of 4-3-1-0 for Commonwealth New Era Racing and Michael Trombetta.
