Tom Hinkle - Owner
Tom was born and raised on Hinkle Farms where he developed a passion for working with thoroughbreds. After graduating from Centre College in 1979, he returned home to manage and develop the Hinkle Farms thoroughbred operation.
In the 1980s Tom quickly emerged as a top consignor, spending many of those early years buying and selling horses for clients. Over time Tom has redirected his primary focus towards cultivating Hinkle Farms’ broodmare band and selling their foals as yearlings. Throughout his career he has bred or raised over 30 stakes winners. Ten percent of foals born on the farm have gone on to become stakes winners.
Henry Hinkle - Owner
Henry grew up on the farm with his brother Tom and showed interest in horses from an early age. A Morehead Scholar at UNC Chapel Hill, Henry spent the majority of his career with Hinkle Contracting Corporation. However, throughout his professional life Henry has been actively involved in the operation of Hinkle Farms and is the co-breeder of over 30 stakes winners. He is passionate about breeding, raising, selling, and racing thoroughbreds. Henry works closely with Tom and Anne Archer Hinkle in bloodstock acquisition, stallion mating, and yearling sales.
Anne Archer Hinkle – Owner & Director of Operations
Anne Archer is part of the next generation of Hinkle horsepeople proving the future is bright for Hinkle Farms. Attending New York University and completing her education at Centre College, Anne Archer earned a bachelor's degree with a double major in History and Spanish. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. She works closely with farm management and is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the farm. She also specializes in bloodstock research & acquisition, stallion matings, and sales coordination. She enjoys nothing more than spending time with the family's cherished thoroughbreds on the farm.
