It was a first graded stakes placing for Daydreaming Boy (3c out of Denali Dreamscape) in the G3 Smarty Jones with the Hinkle-bred finishing third – 8 ½ lengths in front of the fourth placed horse.

Racing over 1 1/16 miles on the dirt at Parx, Daydreaming Boy spent much of his time racing with just one horse beat before changing his tune in the stretch. He came running late but couldn’t catch the first two finishers by the time they hit the wire.

It was the fourth top three finish in eight starts this year for the Bran Jam Stable and David Clark runner, with Daydreaming Boy placing in a stakes for the second year in a row after earning his first blacktype in the Future Stars Stakes.

Trained by Louis Linder, Daydreaming Boy was sold as a weanling for $15,000 to Matthew Koch at the 2020 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
