Daydreaming Boy In Command at Parx

It was a second win of the year for Daydreaming Boy (3c out of Denali Dreamscape) at Parx when he won an Allowance Optional Claiming race by a widening 3 ¾ lengths on the dirt.

Racing over just over one mile, he kept pressure on the leader with the rest of the field a few lengths behind the pair as they raced around the oval. The colt was done with the game as they raced into the stretch and easily took command of the running.

Jockey Dexter Haddock asked Daydreaming Boy for just enough to keep him focused on his job and it proved to work with the third placed runner over 10 lengths behind the winner as he flashed under the wire.

Now the earner of over $132,000, the stakes placed Daydreaming Boy has won three of his nine starts with two fourth place finishes in stakes as well.

Trained by Louis Linder Jr. for Bran Jam Stable and David Clark, Daydreaming was sold by Hinkle as a weanling during the 2020 Keeneland November Sale. He is one of two stakes performers and three winners from three named foals out of Denali Dreamscape alongside the stakes winning New Boss.

Denali Dreamscape doesn’t have a juvenile but did foal a Mastery filly last year.
