In his third start after a 10 month layoff and first time ever at a 1 1/4 distance held on for 2nd place in the GI TVG Pacific Classic at Delmar on 8/17/19.

Draft Pick, a 4YO colt by Candy Ride (ARG) out of Hinkle-bred Firehouse Red, has never finished worse than fourth place in his 12 lifetime starts.  The ever-consistent bay boosted his earnings to over $507,000 after this latest start.

The Equibase chart from the race reported that "DRAFT PICK stalked four wide then outside, went up four wide into the second turn and three deep into the stretch and held second."

Draft Pick was bred, raised, and sold by Hinkle Farms. He is the first and only foal out of the SP Arch mare Firehouse Red. He was selected by David Ingordo at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling sale for his current owners Lee and Susan Searing of C R K Stable. He is trained by Peter Eurton and ridden by Joseph Talamo.

Congratulations to all of his connections!
