Following an impressive victory over the same course in May, Draft Pick took a huge leap up in class today by capturing the G3 Affirmed S. at Santa Anita on 6/10/18. Defeating 2018 Derby-contender Solomini, Draft Pick proved he belongs with the big boys!

Draft Pick was bred, raised, and sold by Hinkle Farms. He was a $450,000 purchase at the 2016 Keeneland September Sale. Draft Pick's dam, Firehouse Red, was bred and owned by Hinkle Farms as well. She was impressive in her own right, earning over $121,000 and placing in several stakes. She was closest to achieving stakes victory in the 2012 Edgewood S. when she finished second behind eventual G1W Stephanie's Kitten.
