Hinkle Farms-bred Easy Shot (5g o/o Daddy’s Dreamgirl) won his fourth career race on the third with an Allowance victory at Finger Lakes.

Racing over six furlongs on the dirt, Easy Shot spent the early part of the race over five lengths behind before starting to move as they raced into the turn. John Davila Jr. swung the gelding wide into the stretch where the gelding started to rally down the center of the track. Grabbing the lead in the final furlong, he pulled away from there to win by 2 ½ lengths in the end.

Out of a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Liam’s Dream and Grade 2-placed Holdontoyourdream, Easy Shot’s third dam is Grade 2 winner Danzig’s Beauty, also the dam of multiple graded stakes winner and leading sire Distorted Humor.

Easy Shot was an $80,000 Keeneland September purchase by Calumet Farm from the Hinkle Farms consignment in 2017.
