EBBEN (g, 2, Trappe Shot--Please Be Discreet, by Discreet Cat) dueled on the pace and held for third behind ‘TDN Rising Star’ Hollywood Star (Malibu Moon) in his career bow June 28 and was backed as the 9-5 second choice here. Posting up outside in fifth past a :22.79 quarter, the chestnut advanced into contention four-deep entering the stretch and took charge at the eighth pole before drawing clear to a 1 1/2-length graduation over Bye Crazy Eyes (Exchange Rate). The winner’s dam, a half to MGSW Tackleberry (Montbrook), has a juvenile Arch filly, a yearling colt by Flatter and was bred to Orb this spring. Sales History: $25,000 Ylg '16 KEESEP. Ebben was bred, raised, and sold by Hinkle Farms.  He was purchased by Sam Aguiar for $25,000 at the Keeneland September Sale. He is trained by Steve Margolis and ridden by James Graham.
