It was a second career stakes victory for Grade 2 winner Ginobili (6g out of Find The Humor) when he kicked off his season with a win in the Listed Fifth Season Stakes.

Ginobili made sure to keep the leader honest in the one-mile dirt race with just a length separating the pair before that one gave in and started to fade in the turn. It was easy work for Ginobili from there with little effort put in to take over the lead. Jockey Ricardo Santana Jr let Ginobili coast home to a four-length victory without ever feeling the whip.

The Hinkle-bred gelding has now won four of 17 starts with four other top three finishes for $570,050 in earnings after selling for $35,000 as a Keeneland September Yearling sale graduate. Among his placings is a second in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) with a fourth at the Grade 1 level as well.

He is one of two stakes performers out of Grade 3-placed Find The Humor, who also produced stakes placed Silly Factor.
