Hinkle Farms bred Cynane (2f out of Burning Arch) had the distinction of being the first winner for her sire Omaha Beach on Thursday with a Belmont Park Maiden Special Weight victory.

A $250,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale purchase by Oracle Bloodstock from Hinkle, Cynane made her debut going five furlongs on the turf and proved to be best from the start. She jumped straight to the lead and opened a few lengths on the field as she raced a few paths from the rail. When they entered the stretch, Javier Castellano moved her in a path and she quickly pulled away from there.

In the end, she won by 2 ¾ lengths to get her career off to a perfect start.

Cynane races for VinLaur Racing Stables, West Paces Racing, and Rainbow’s End Racing Stables and is trained by Tom Morley.

Cynane is one of two winners out of two-time winning Arch mare Burning Arch, who is a three-quarter sister to dual Grade 1 winner Pine Island and half-sister to stakes winner Cat’s Claw. Burning Arch has a yearling filly by Game Winner to come.
