$240,000 yearling purchase and Hinkle Farms homebred Tarabi (2f o/o Indian Bay) caught the eye in her debut with a 5 ½ length Maiden Special Weight victory at Ellis Park.

Tarabi raced just off the lead for the first quarter in the six furlong dirt race before taking over down the backstretch. Sticking to the rail, she was kept in hand by jockey Colby Hernandez until they hit the stretch where he let her stride out. Tarabi easily pulled away from there for a 5 ½ length win.

Pilgrim Racing purchased Tarabi from Hinkle Farms at the 2020 Keeneland September Yearling Sale as the third highest priced yearling for First Samurai at that sale.
