His Rights (2c out of Yahtzee Queen) got his career off to the right start at Parx on Monday when he broke his maiden on debut in a Parx Maiden Special Weight.
Starting his career going 4 ½ furlongs on the dirt, His Rights got left at the gate, but that trouble seemed to motivate him as he rushed up to the field and sat just over a length behind the leader going into the stretch.
Coming down the middle of the stretch, he showed off an impressive turn of foot to surge late and win by a neck in a three-way battle at the line.
His Rights was bought by Richie’s World Stables from breeder Hinkle Farms’ 2022 Keeneland September draft for $20,000 as Hip 2516.
The Constitution colt is one of two winners from three to race out of the stakes places Yahtzee Queen. That mare is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner and Grade 2 placed Northern Passion and the stakes placed Rutherford Rd. His Rights was the second winner in five days descending from his granddam A Touch Of Glory.
That Hinkle-owned mare saw her 3-year-old daughter Sal’s Blue Jacket break her maiden on Thursday in her second start.
Yahtzee Queen has a Munnings yearling filly set to hit the ring at this year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale as well.
