It was a second stakes performance for New Boss (3f o/o Denali Dreamscape) in the Mamzelle Overnight Stakes at Churchill Downs two starts after winning her first stakes.

New Boss was close behind the leader in the five-furlong turf race. New Boss made a bid for the lead early in the stretch and had grabbed it by the final furlong. She had to enter a fight for the win late and was beaten by just a neck in a four-way photo finish at the end.

New Boss has been a consistent performer for her connections with three wins and three seconds from eight career starts. The filly was a $45,000 purchase by racing owners Barry and Carol Conrad from the Hinkle Farms consignment at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale in 2019.
