After a perfect 4-4-0-0 career leading up to the 2015 Breeder’s Cup on October 30-31st, Nyquist bookended his perfect two-year-old season with his victory in the 1 1/16 mile Breeder’s Cup Sentient Jet Juvenile at Keeneland.
After being checked at the start and pushed out wide by rival Swipe, Nyquist endured a grueling trip where he ran 22 feet further than the runner up. He demonstrated his ability to come from behind—something he had not done in previous performances where he took the early lead.
Shortly after his victory Darley announced that it purchased the breeding rights for the precocious colt and will stand him at Jonabell Farm in Kentucky after he is retired from racing.
Nyquist is by Champion 2-year-old Uncle Mo and out of Hinkle Farms owned Seeking Gabrielle.
