Poison Arrow (2c o/o Crosswinds) was an international winner for Hinkle Farms’ breeding program with a maiden breaking win at Nakayama.

Racing over 1 1/8 miles on the dirt one start after finishing second over a mile, Poison Arrow was part of a four-way duel for the lead around the turn but only one could stick with him down the stretch. That one also dropped back in the final furlong as Poison Arrow pulled away to win by five lengths.

He was the fourth winner for Arrogate in Japan.

Poison Arrow was a $750,000 purchase from the Hinkle Farms draft at the Keeneland September Sale last year by Yuji Hasegawa. He was the most expensive Arrogate offering at that sale.

Poison Arrow is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Weep No More and Grade 3 winner Current in addition to the dam of Grade 3-placed Half Is Enough. Crosswinds is a daughter of dual Grade 1 winner Flute, who has also produced Grade 2 winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Filimbi.
