Radio Days (2f o/o Remembered) was a debut winner of a Belmont Park Maiden Special Weight on Halloween for Joseph Allen and Shug McGaughey.
The filly was the back marker of the tight pack in the early running of the six-furlong dirt race. Radio Days moved closer to the front of the pack around the turn and in the stretch started running for the leaders. With an eighth of a mile to run, Radio Days had a head advantage and she slowly started pulling away to win by 1 ½ lengths as the race favorite in the end.
The Gun Runner filly was a $750,000 Keeneland September purchase by Robbie Medina as agent from the Hinkle Farms consignment.
She is a half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Bowies Hero and out of a Sky Mesa half-sister to Grade 2 winner Mint Lane and the Grade 1-placed dam of Grade 3 winner and G1 Kentucky Derby runner-up Firing Line.
