It was a second win for Hinkle Farms-bred Comedic Timing (4g out of Madame du Lac) on Monday with a 1 ½ length Allowance victory at Monmouth Park.

Racing a mile on the turf, Comedic Timing spent the first quarter racing five lengths behind the pacesetter before steadily moving closer as they raced around the turn. The 4-year-old entered a brief duel early in the stretch before steadily pulling away to have a 1 ½ length advantage at the line.

Racing for owner-trainer Pompeyo Gomez, Comedic Timing was a $360,000 purchase by Red Oak Farm from Hinkle Farms at the Keeneland September Sale in 2019. Madame du Lac is also the dam of dual Grade 1 winner Divisidero and stakes-placed Gunnison. She has a yearling Medaglia d’Oro filly and a weanling Daredevil colt.
