SHIVAJI, a 3YO colt by First Samurai out of Hinkle Farms homebred Indian Bay, broke his maiden in his first lifetime start at Kyoto on January 27th.  Going 1200 m on the dirt, he was the easy victor and won going away by 3 length. Shivaji was a stand-out 2YO who breezed a 1/8 of a mile in :9 4/5 at the OBS April Sale in 2017 where he sold for $540,000. This colt is a maternal grandson of our beloved GSW Buy the Barrel (E Dubai), the dam of MGSP Mise En Rose (War Front).
