Off at 19-1 odds following a 4th place debut finish last month at Los Alamitos, Ginobili ran down the field Saturday at Del Mar in a $61K MSW in impressive fashion. 

Following his victory, the TDN reported "GINOBILI (c, 2, Munnings--Find the Humor {GSP}, by Sharp Humor) faltered late to finish fourth in his July 14 unveiling at Los Alamitos. Dismissed at 19-1 in his second start here against a group of highly touted juveniles, the bay broke on top and took charge of the pace. Widening his advantage following a half-mile in :45.62, Ginobili dug in at the quarter-pole with his rivals close in pursuit and drove home under a vigorous hand ride from rider Florent Geroux. He flashed past the wire 2 1/2 lengths clear of firster and $850,000 FTSAUG purchase Honor A.P. (Honor Code). Ginobili is a half-brother to Silly Factor (The Factor), SP, $169,153. Trainer Richard Baltas garnered two wins with juveniles earlier on the day’s card with Paid Informant (Into Mischief) in the second and Succeedandsurpass(Ire) (Exceed And Excel {AUS}) in the fifth. Ginobili was bred, raised and sold by Hinkle Farms. He was purchased by his trainer at last year's Keeneland September Sale.
